Spartan Navara D40 Project Part 1

At Spartan Turbocharger Systems, we love testing all our gear before it reaches you. Here's a prime example: one of our team members brought in their standard D40 Navara for us to start building a test turbo. It was standard when it arrived, but after adding a Tillix Performance and Tuning Boost Control System, we achieved 125 kW at 22 PSI on a standard tune file. This is where most of our customers would begin. We also opted for an Ultimate9 EVC-X Boost Controller for the snappy throttle response and traction control! We then installed our STS-46 769708 Turbocharger and a PPD Performance 3-inch stainless exhaust. After that, it was time for a custom tune. We pushed the limits, turning it up as far as possible on standard injectors (only for test purposes), resulting in 181 kW and 702 Nm at 36 PSI. The boost response was exceptional! The air-fuel ratios were slightly rich, but the factory intercooler and airbox were the limiting factors. Currently, we are working on developing a full front mount and airbox setup specifically for this model Navara. Stay tuned for updates on power figures and air temperature readings.
