Nissan Patrol TD42 Spartan Ball Bearing Turbo Project

We had the chance to play with a monster patrol running a TD42 this week, a good friend had his turbocharger let go and called us up to see what we could do with the old girl. We opted for our STS 50 HT18 with a IWG-75 in control of the boost, These units are a direct fit on to your exhaust manifold, dump pipe & Intercooler pipe, how ever you will need to modifly your air inlet pipe. Our kits has the oil feed and drain pipe included for ease of install. Setup with a full 3 inch exhaust system, a welded end tank intercooler and a HPD Billet Airbox lid, we knew the old girl would make some half decent power. We ran a 14PSI waste gate spring and left the fueling alone, Gave the engine a quick check over and started runing her up on the dyno.
We ended up making a solid 136KW & 446NM To the hubs, Making Peak boost by 2300 RPM and AFR’S sitting at 21 To 1, This old girl will need a larger intercooler as it heat soaks after 2-3 dyno runs. We are super happy with the final figures, we cant wait to see what happens once the fuel pump get recalibrated properly and the boost get turned up to 22-24 PSI.
